error with libtiff.so.3
First of all a cordial greeting, and I downloaded the v5 MEDUSA4 to install on a system with 32bit kubuntu 11.04, and run the. sh installation without problems when trying to run the program only a black screen for a few moments and then nothing. Decided to try the console and run. / satartmedusa getting the following error:
/ opt/medusa4_personal_v5_0/medcolraster/m2d/run/draft: error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.3: objetc can not open shared file: No such file or directory
I first made a libtiff.so.3 locate my system and not got the file but if I have the libtiff.so4 Trying so solve the issue try creating a virtual link as follows:
ln-s / usr/lib/libtiff.so.4 libtiff.so.3
But still throws the same error probably did not know how to edit the virtual link or if there is another solution greatly appreciate your support in this regard without further reference to and is waiting soon response of you

Your command makes a link in the current directory which may not be in the list used for shared library searches. Try changing directory to /medsys/med/share then use the command. is the directory where you installed medusa.

Greetings grateful for your prompt reply told him that try removing the link had been created prior to the unlink command console then try to create it with the location you described in my case will quwe
/ opt/medusa4_personal_v5_0/medsys/med/share /
and then run
sudo ln-s / usr/lib/libtiff.so.3 / usr/lib/libtiff.so4
to what linux reports a too many levels of symbolic links
well now I can not make the link
and second because in this direction if the error when running
/ opt/medusa4_personal_v5_0/master_project $ sudo. / startmedusa
is as follows
/ opt/medusa4_personal_V5_0/medcolraster/m2d/run/draft: sahra error while loading libraries: libtiff.so.3: can not open shared object file: Error 40
/ opt/medusa4_personal_v5_0/medsys/med/share /

I found that you presented the command back to front in that the TARGET (libtiff.so.4) and the link name (libtiff.so.3) were in the wrong places. Also as I'm using Kubuntu 12.04 (64 bit) I had to create the link in the 32 (i386)bit area. Then Medusa4 started OK.

It happens with me as well and after that v5 MEDUSA4 becomes very slower as compared to the initial stage. Can you please provide the exact command and the step by step process to run it.?
