If your computer has libgomp it will only be the 64 bit version, Medusa requires the 32 bit also. It has been some years since I last used SuSE, but I think it still uses Yum for software installation.

yum install <package>
so try
yum install libgomp.so.1.i686
or
yum install libgomp.i686

but there are more libraries missing, those should be:
mesa-libGLU.i686
mesa-libGL.i686
libXt.i686
zlib.i686
glib2.i686
freetype.i686
libXrender.i686
fontconfig.i686
bzip2-libs.i686
libxml2.i686
libgomp.i686
librsvg2.i686

I added the following lines with root access in a terminal, which added the missing libs for running Medusa4 5.2.1 Personal on my openSUSE 13.2 x86_64 system:

Code: Select all

# zypper in -t pattern 32bit

# zypper in libGLU1-32bit libXt6-32bit libXtst6-32bit libgthread-2_0-0-32bit libfreetype6-32bit libXrender1-32bit fontconfig-32bit libbz2-1-32bit libxml2-2-32bit libgomp1-32bit  librsvg-2-2-32bit

Tip:
When attempts to start Medusa claims for some missing libs, i.e the latter
QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme.
/home/medusa4_personal_v5_2_1/med2d/m2d/run/draft: error while loading shared libraries: librsvg-2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It is just to search with zypper (or rpm or yast gui if preferred) to find what package that provides the missing lib, again the latter above:

Code: Select all

# zypper se --provides librsvg-2.so.2
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...

S | Name              | Summary                          | Type
--+-------------------+----------------------------------+--------
i | librsvg-2-2       | A Library for Rendering SVG Data | package
  | librsvg-2-2-32bit | A Library for Rendering SVG Data | package

and next install it with zypper

Code: Select all

# zypper in librsvg-2-2-32bit
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
Resolving package dependencies...

The following 3 NEW packages are going to be installed:
  gdk-pixbuf-loader-rsvg-32bit libcroco-0_6-3-32bit librsvg-2-2-32bit

3 new packages to install.
Overall download size: 194.7 KiB. Already cached: 0 B  After the operation, additional 469.9 KiB will
be used.
