planar views of SMD model?

Postby scionpt » Thu Dec 12, 2013 12:18 am

I have a 3D sheet metal model that has been unfolded (.idl) and corrected for bending (.cor), and the interactive viewer shows the model is correct.

When another view window with a x-y prim is added to the sheet that the bender generates, that view of the model is correct. However, additional view windows with Z plane prims do not show the expected views (but also no errors are reported). In some ways this makes sense since the unfolder/bender outputs are 2D.

Is there any way to get the planar views of the .cor model on the same sheet as the one the unfolding/bending creates? Thanks for any clues.

It turns out that the answer is that viewing texts are generated in the sheet that overrule the view boxes and set the view same to all. This thanks to Don at CAD Schroer US. Excellent customer support!
