Re: How to upgrade to Medusa4 Personal 5.2.1?

Thanks Mike but does that mean we would have two installs in our system if we don't remove the old version? I note that the new version installs in its own MEDUSA4_PERSONAL_V5_2_1 folder.

How to upgrade to Medusa4 Personal 5.2.1?

Hi,

I have M4P 5.1.2 installed in my system. I would like to upgrade it to the new release. I have the following questions;

1. Do I have to uninstall the old version?
2. Do I need to request for a new license?

I look forward to some answers.

Best regards,
Tim

Re: Medusa from the old days?

Hi Oldtimers, In the early 90s, I was working for company that bought Pro-E. I was told Pro-E was started by ex-Computervision people. At that time, CV was still in business and its main customers were in the Auto industries such as GM. Is this true? Was Medusa in the forefront of all that business?...

Re: For what do you use MEDUSA4 Personal?

Well, I am trying to find out if M4P can be used for sheet metal work. The learning curve seem steep so no point trying to learn it just to do 2D work. There are far more intuitive packages out there that is also free that does 2D CAD.

Re: Plottable PDFs for unrestricted use

Conversion to a DXF format makes more sense.

Re: CNC modelbuilding with medusa?

I think Medusa could become more popular if CSG could offer the conversion to a format that CNC programs can make use of.

Re: My MAC adress changed and now???

I guess when that happens, one has to request for a new license?

Re: What's allowed in the personal license?

As I understand it, output of personal version may be converted to commercial use for a nominal fee.

How to open dwg file in Medusa4 Personal?

Hi,

How does one open dwg file in Meduasa4 Personal? I got this error when I tried to open one;

"ERROR while importing file: No output written by converter program for E:\..."

Thanks in advance for your help.
